ch 3 typography

Today I learned about different lettering. It was very interesting and intriguing how one simple way of writing something can  make a difference or catch your eye. I pretty much knew that the way you have your fonts or writing styles it will capture attention. Its just amazing  how something so simple can change many things. And mean a lot of things to different people or even say something about that person or his or her characteristics.

Visual Communication ch.1

Chapter one is about why visual art, such as Graphic Design is so important. I think that it is important because with everything going on in the world we need to see beauty that humans have created other than nature. I think that because there is so much devistation and destruction that its nice to know we can still create beauty by drawings, paintings, pictures. Its a little something to know were still human with all the choas and it makes us feel at peace. Well for me it does.

What makes a powerful presentation?

What makes a powerful presentation is the way you conduct youself. They way you speak to the public or whoever your presenting to. The way your voice is. How you hold youself. They way you look at them. How your dressed. It all goes together to capture peoples intrest. If your dull and borning and have no emotion no one is going to like your presentation or be interested it what your trying to sell.  

How can you use social media to create a professional/find a job?

In my opinion I think you can use social media to capture peoples attention, needs and wants. You can see whats out there. What people look for or are into. You can get ideas. If you know what people are looking for then it makes it easier to get a job.  You know what there expectiations are and what they need for that particular job.

What makes a good poster?

 What I think would make a good poster would be creativity. Don't be borning and just slap on pictures. Go beyond that. Research the place you would want to go to or you have already been to. Get ideas from the information you have researched on. And take notes on what catches you eye, what makes that place interesting to you, then tie it all up and create your poster. To me i think thats what would make a good poster. 

What is Graphic Designe And why am I in it???

I don't know much about Graphic Design, but what i found out is that it is a visual representation of an idea or message for publication or advertisment to capture the attention of an audience. Graphic Design has been around since the 19th century. And it is expanding more than ever in our 21st century.

I am taking Graphic Design in colledge because I want to be a photographer. I wanted to learn about how to become a photographer and what it takes to become a photographer. For example, what tools would I need, what web sites would I use to edit the pictures ,  and just learn eveything that i possibly can about photograpy.
